Less is More – Smarter Corrosion Protection
A fine organic powder, PX1 is compatible across a wide range of coatings chemistries and formulated to replace traditional inhibitors at lower loadings. Unlike conventional inhibitors like zinc phosphate, which typically require high loadings (5-10%) to achieve effective corrosion resistance, PX1 delivers comparable—or superior—protection at much loadings of 0.5-3%.

Following 1000 hours salt spray (ASTM B117), the coating with 2% Intelli-ion® PX1 (right image) demonstrates superior corrosion protection vs. the coating system with 5% zinc phosphate.
Additionally, PX1 is label-free and has a high bio-based content, supporting sustainability goals.
