News: £5,500 Raised for Mental Health UK
The global pandemic has affected people in different ways – with charities reporting a huge increase in people seeking support for mental health issues across the UK. Hexigone has raised £5,500 to support Mental Health UK’s incredible services during this time.
The coronavirus pandemic has brought exceptionally challenging and worrying times for each and every one of us. The effects of social distancing, lockdown, the loss of loved ones is taking a huge toll on our mental health and wellbeing. Therefore, when choosing a charity to support through our hand sanitiser sales – Mental Health UK (MHUK) was an obvious choice for Hexigone.
Mental Health UK has been supporting people affected by mental health problems for over 40 years, and has continued to do an exceptional job during the COVID-19 pandemic. They bring together experts from four national mental health charities to improve understanding and provide vital care, and have developed dedicated coronavirus resources to support individuals during this time.
Last Spring, the COVID-19 crisis put huge pressure on the PPE supply chain – leaving NHS staff and other key workers at risk of contracting the deadly virus. Our team volunteered to utilise our manufacturing facilities to produce medical-grade hand sanitiser for key workers.
All profits were donated to MHUK and in total, we have raised £5,500 for the charity.

This could pay for our online mental health community Clic (www.clic-uk.org) to be moderated 24/7 for two weeks ensuring all of our members feel safe, supported and welcomed in our community.”
